Technically over here, it’s Thursday so I have the right ;). The thing I’ve been hoping for a while has happened. Zuko teams up with the group, although with bitterness. Katara even came with death-threats! Whoa! Who would’ve thunk? Sparky Sparky Boom Man ended with a boom, literally. That must’ve hurt. The Air Temple had a pretty awesome design. I wonder how they built that… Must’ve had earthbenders to help with the construction. At first I thought the ground had been flipped over, but the actual thing was way better. I’m anxious to see how Zuko will work in the group, but that’s for later. Sleep stands in my way. And breakfast.
And finally Zuko does something. (Epic Team-up FTW) I wonder where Iroh went… All this awesome battling, and Princess Bitch planned it all. Figures. They’ll live to fight another day. But wait a minute… If Zuko now wants to join the Avatar, then it must be that he will teach Aang firebending! Am I right? I’m super-excited, but I’ve already watched 4 episodes today so until tomorrow…
And the invasion has begun! Invasions are much more interesting and exciting when there’s a small group against a huge one, rather than two big ones. It paves way for interesting and creative tactics and characters are given moments to shine – and they do. Those caterpillar tanks are way more effective than the ones one wheels. Aang arrives to the castle, and the Fire Lord isn’t there! How embarrassing. Would be hilarious if he just walked in after visiting the bathroom or something, and be like ‘?’ :D.
Whoa! Wow. Those were some crazy awesome dreams! I loved every bit of them. I also vaguely recognized a reference from an anime, was it Trigun perhaps? And Dragon Ball? Sokka is still carrying around that beard. Thumbs up! The invasion date was so close? Fight scenes plz.
Overall, this was a very creepy episode. I mean, bloodbending *shrugs*. Such a disgusting power. Using the water from nearby objects is okay, they are inanimate. But controlling other organisms is going too far. Did she actually kill that rat? What did it ever do to her? Now that Katara learned it, I hope she will refrain from using it. The title of the episode is a spoiler, not very smart.
Combustion Man! I liked Sparky Sparky Boom Man better xD. His eye really is a weak point. Was this episode qualified as a filler episode? It felt like it a little, but there was character development so I guess not. Scamming people in a specified area is never a good thing. Word spreads quickly in the inner circles. If Hawkie couldn’t find the south pole, how is he supposed to find Toph’s family? I liked Hawkie, we will probably never see him again. Oh well…
History lesson! Roku kicked some major ass during his time. His death in the end was sad. Still, fighting a volcano is so awesome whether you win or lose. Meanwhile, Zuko read up on some history in a basement. From Sozen’s perspective. Zuko is related to Avatar Roku. Dun-Dun-Duuuuun! That lock mechanism on the door down to the basement vault was awesome. Every lock I’ve seen so far has been awesome. Except maybe that second lock from this episode, the one with the statue, it was kind of ‘meh’.
